About Us

Elks Lodge #1244 building with a statue outside.

On Sycamore Street in Clovis, the Elks have been doing something simple and powerful: showing up for this community. Lodge #1244 is the kind of place where a high school reunion actually comes together, where the staff pivots on a dime when last-minute snags hit, and where guests leave talking about how friendly everyone was. That 4.6-star reputation didn't come from a marketing campaign. It came from real nights with real people.

Friday nights here have their own reputation. Steak night at #1244 is, by more than a few accounts, the best steak you'll find in Clovis, full stop. The bar pours honest cocktails, the pool tables stay busy with league nights and tournaments, and the hall has hosted everything from alumni reunions to community fundraisers. This is a working lodge, not a museum.

Elks Lodge #1244 is open to members and their guests, and the path to membership is shorter than most people expect. If you've been looking for a place to plug into Clovis, NM life, meet people who actually give back, and enjoy a great meal while you're at it, the door on Sycamore is worth opening.

What We Offer

The lodge at 218 Sycamore runs a full calendar that goes well beyond a standard social club. The dining room fires up for steak night, drawing regulars who know the kitchen doesn't cut corners. The full bar handles everything from a cold beer after work to cocktails for a private event, and the bartenders (most of them, anyway) know how to keep a room comfortable.

Event hosting is a genuine strength here. The lodge has the space and the staff to handle reunions, banquets, fundraisers, and organizational meetings. Pool league nights bring in competitive players from across the region, giving members a built-in reason to come back week after week. Beyond the building itself, Elks Lodge #1244 channels member dues and volunteer hours into scholarships, youth programs, and veterans' services that reach the wider Curry County community.
